The Morning After

Episode 2

Seraphina wakes praying it was a dream — but the ring is fused to her finger, and Malphas is in the corner of her dorm, watching her sleep. He tells her, almost gently, what he did to Tiffany: she isn't dead, but she'll wish she were. When her roommate Maya bursts in with coffee and campus gossip, she walks straight past Malphas without seeing him. The rules of the world have changed and only Seraphina knows it. The whole campus is whispering about Tiffany Vance — found at dawn, eyes wide open, refusing to blink. Seraphina has to see for herself. She finds Tiffany behind the glass of the campus health center, staring at nothing. And when those dead eyes finally lock onto hers, Tiffany's lips begin to move — silently, mechanically — mouthing three words Seraphina can read but cannot un-see: He's still in me.

Undo It

Episode 3

Seraphina storms back to her dorm with one demand: whatever Malphas left inside Tiffany comes out. He's never been commanded to undo a punishment — and the price is steep: remove the shadow, and Tiffany remembers everything. Seraphina gives the order anyway. In the dark of the health center, Malphas takes the nightmare back into his own body — and Tiffany opens her eyes.

How to Banish a Demon

Episode 4

Exposed and terrified, Seraphina tries everything to get rid of him. Salt lines, online rituals, holy water — he steps over, sits inside, and wipes it off his jaw. Across campus, Tiffany begins researching the ring — and finds there were nine of them. By candlelight, Malphas finally tells Seraphina the truth: she can't banish him. She can only command him. So command him.

The Door

Episode 5

Seraphina commands him to reveal how to break the bond — and for the first time, a King of Hell fights his own chains. The room shatters around him. He loses. What he shows her changes everything: the ring opened with her blood, and only the last of her blood can close it. Her freedom is her death — and he has known since the fountain.

One Night

Episode 6

Three days of silence end when Maya drags Seraphina to the scholarship gala — and Malphas makes himself visible for a single night. The girl they drowned in the fountain walks in with a king, and the whole room forgets how to breathe. One dance. One confession: "I am not good, Seraphina. I am only yours." But someone in the crowd isn't watching them. He's confirming a target.

The Others

Episode 7

Adrian's message was heard. In a cold-blue safe house, the order gathers — older hunters, scarred hands, a compass with a tiny king suspended in dark liquid, pointing straight at the city. On campus, Seraphina learns the leash runs both ways: in daylight Malphas cannot touch a human without her word. Four hunters close in across the quad, and she gives her first command in the open — "Defend us." He obeys, and it costs him: smoke like armor, then edges going grey. They escape. But Tiffany has been talking to someone too — and tonight, she's promised the whole campus a show.
